In a press conference it was announced that the Jerry Lawler vs. Hulk Hogan match scheduled for April 27th in Memphis, Tennessee was off.
During the press conference Lawler said he was called into the WWE office this past Monday where he was asked if he planned on wrestling Hulk Hogan in Memphis. When he answered yes, he was told that would be a problem. WWE officials explained to Lawler that since he is under contract with WWE he is part of NBC/Universal talent and his contract will not allow him to appear on VH-1. Lawler, upset, complied with WWE’s demands, thus will not be wrestling Hogan.
The new main event for the PMG Clash of Legends will be Paul Wight (formally Big Show in WWE) vs. Hulk Hogan.
