Sean O'Haire, is now trying his hand at a new profession: hair styling

Sean Christopher Haire, who appeared for World Wrestling Entertainment and World Championship Wrestling as a Sean O'Haire, is now trying his hand at a new profession: hair styling.

The South Magazine conducted an interview with the three-time WCW World Tag Team Champion regarding his endeavor and notes in an article, "Two or three times during our interview, Haire says something cool and outside the window, perfectly timed lightning shatters the sky. Some people have a flair for the dramatic. Which is one of the reasons he plans to make a great hair stylist."

The interview is featured in their fifth annual "Power Professional" issue, and Haire is on the cover with the headline reading: "Sean Haire: When The Devil Came Down To Georgia." During the interview, he recalls his life story as he discusses his history as a fighter, long-abandoned professional wrestling personas including Sean O’Haire and "the never-quite-finalized Devil’s Advocate," his partially reconstructed and reinforced titanium jaw and orbital socket, the National Kodak Medallion of Excellence award he won for photography in high school, fighting a K-1 kickboxing champion and not knowing it, his boxing stint in New Jersey, stories involving “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, two marriages, two divorces, professional mountain biking, his girlfriend of four years and "enough WCW/WWE name-dropping to deeply entertain a writer who grew up watching scrambled WrestleManias on pay-per-view."

Jericho's Favorite Match

Chris Jericho recently stated on his Twitter account that his favorite match was in a ladder match against Shawn Michaels back in 2008. Jericho also noted that Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler of all time and his favorite ECW match was against Pitbull for the TV title.

HBK Talks About Possibilities of Another Match

Shawn Michaels recently talked about the possibilities of wrestling another match during an interview with Miami Herald. Here is an excerpt on what he had to say.

"Obviously, I want to do things that will help. You don't want to bring me back for no other reason. It would depend on what it was. I am not as young as I once was. Do I think about that stuff? Yeah. It's one of those things that I know that I can do it. At the same time I can also drink a six pack and be able to drive home, but do I want to give that a whirl? No.

"Yeah, I can fall off this or go through this, but then I end up getting hurt and can't do my other show. I have other responsibilities. I can't take piano lessons with my daughter because I'm up with my knee in a brace and pushed my knees too far. I do have to give more thought to that kind of stuff. I can't just go in with reckless abandonment. At least at this point nobody has even asked about that stuff, so I haven't really given it that much thought."

WWE Very High on FCW Diva, HHH High on WWE Star, Will Austin Return to RAW?

- Triple H is reportedly high on Michael McGillicutty with the thinking that he’s a potential star.

- There is still no word on whether or not Steve Austin will be appearing on the 1,000th RAW episode. A source says that if Austin can get away from filming Grown Ups 2 then he may appear on RAW but when the date was first announced and brought up to him, there was a conflict.

- Of all the Divas in WWE developmental, the ones getting strong reviews are Raquel Diaz (Shaul Guerrero), Paige (Britani Knight) and Sofia Cortez (Ivelisse VĂ©lez).
Paige and Sofia are better than most Divas on the main roster and given Paige’s age and in-ring ability, the feeling is that she has the potential to be the star worker in WWE’s women’s division down the line. Regarding Diaz, the feeling is that she has great charisma and potential to be one of the best female talkers but her in-ring work is not ready.

- XXLMag.com has picked up on Batista directing a new music video for rapper Action Bronson this week in Los Angeles. Batista suggested the two do a fight scene in the video and that will be filmed this week. Bronson will also perform as he accompanies Batista to the ring for his first-ever MMA fight later this year. Bronson said the following about the rap video shoot this week:
"The concept is pretty much, its just wildness. It’s for this song called ‘The Symbol’ with Alchemist. It’s a crazy demented type song. I was thinking the video would be some weird new “Dark Knight” type shit. Really dark and weird. He’s a weird type of villain. Obviously, I beat the shit out of him. I’m definitely gonna DDT him! Hundred percent."

- WWE reportedly had to edit a Cody Rhodes vs. Tyson Kidd match that was taped this week for Superstars. The edits were done because they had to edit out the crowd chanting for Cody Rhodes as a babyface.

Chris Benoit’s Father Urges Voters Not To Vote For Linda McMahon

Chris Benoit’s Father Urges Voters Not To Vote For Linda McMahon

Connecticut's Hartford Courant has published a lengthy article sent in by Michael Benoit, father of the late Chris Benoit, urging voters not to send Linda McMahon to the United States Senate in November. Benoit holds the McMahons responsible for the dozens of young wrestler deaths we've seen in recent years and says Linda has used blood money to fund her expensive campaign.

An excerpt from the article:

"My son, Chris Benoit, 40, was one of WWE's top superstars. In June 2007, our lives changed dramatically, when he tragically killed his wife, son and himself. The press jumped on steroids as the cause of his actions. But tests showed that brain damage in the form of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, or CTE, not steroids, was responsible for our loss. CTE, caused by repetitive trauma to the brain, can bring on serious disorders such as a loss of emotional control, addictions to drugs and alcohol, depression, aggressive and violent behavior.

Most people view wrestling as fake and the McMahon family pushed that theory to avoid regulation. But in its lust for higher ratings and dollars, WWE began demanding that performers use more weapons and dangerous stunts in wrestling matches. Although matches are rigged and scripted, the harsh physical abuse in the form of blunt force steel chair shots to the head and power bombs through tables onto cement floors are real. I believe that this change in the industry is responsible for the majority of deaths it experienced in the last 20 years."

Michael Benoit says that despite the fact that wrestlers are individuals who have to make their own choices in life, the McMahons have set up a "dirty and dangerous enterprise" where the deck is stacked against the men putting their lives on the line to line the McMahons' pockets.

"You might say that these young wrestlers make their own choices, and that is true. And the McMahons entice them with prospects for fame, wealth and glory that few achieve. If this were any other business or sport, there would be congressional hearings and laws passed to reform this dirty and dangerous enterprise. The McMahons have steadfastly held that wrestlers are just independent contractors and not entitled to health care benefits, pensions or unionization to represent their best interests.

This is how Linda McMahon made the money she uses for her Senate race. This is how she ran her business. This is the true character behind the fancy, Hollywood advertisements. I pray the people of Connecticut do not allow her to buy her way into the world's most distinguished legislative body."

Linda McMahon's Chances Of Winning Senate Race Improve

Linda McMahon's chances of winning the U.S. Senate race have just gotten better. Connecticut attorney general Richard Blumenthal, who was slated to be the Democratic nominee for Senate, is currently being accused of lying about serving in the Vietnam war.

This is somewhat of a big deal as the most recent polls had Blumenthal leading the polls, ahead of Republican front runners Rob Simmons and Linda McMahon.

Details on Bobby Lashley's Upcoming Strikeforce Bout

FORMER WWE SUPERSTAR BOBBY LASHLEY TO FACE FELLOW UNBEATEN RON SPARKS IN CLASH OF UNBEATEN MMA HEAVYWEIGHTS AT NOKIA THEATRE L.A. LIVE WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16
Marius Zaromskis to Battle Evangelista Cyborg in 170-Pound Featured Matchup

LOS ANGELES (May 15, 2010) - Former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley (5-0) will square off with fellow undefeated Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) heavyweight Ron "The Monster" Sparks (5-0) when STRIKEFORCE hits Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Wednesday, June 16. DREAM welterweight champion Marius "The Whitemare" Zaromskis (13-4) will face Evangelista Cyborg (17-13) in a featured welterweight (170 pounds) contest.

The 33-year-old Lashley, a 6 foot 3, 265-pound native of Junction City, Kan., was overwhelmingly victorious in his STRIKEFORCE debut on Jan. 30, stopping Wes Sims with an onslaught of punches in the first round (2:06) at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla. The popular Lashley enjoyed success with both the WWE and rival pro wrestling league, TNA, between 2005-07.

In his outing before last on June 27, 2009, Lashley scored an impressive first-round (3:17) TKO over 6-foot-5 inch, 350-plus-pound goliath Bob "The Beast" Sapp in Biloxi, Miss.

A resident of Denver, Colo., Lashley was a collegiate wrestling star for Missouri Valley College and member of The United States Army.

"I'm excited about fighting again,'' Lashley said. "I've been working very hard and I am continuing to learn. The guy I am fighting is huge. This will be a great fight.''

The 35-year old, 6-foot-5 Sparks, of Louisville, Ky., is a tough guy with freakish girth and power who brings it each and every time. An equally imposing physical specimen who has been pummeling opponents, Sparks is coming off a unanimous four-round decision over Johnathan Ivey in his last effort on June 3, 2009.

Until then, only one of Sparks' fights had lasted more than a minute. The total elapsed time in Sparks' previous triumphs, all of which he won by knockout, was 184 seconds. He won in 1:07, 0:36, 0:24 and :17, respectively.

"I like to get in and get the job done,'' said the hard-hitting Sparks. "My last fight went all four rounds, but there is nothing I enjoy more than knocking a person out.''

Sparks, who has been seeking a major fight against a "name'' opponent, is looking forward to June 16.

"Trust me, we're going to go down swinging,'' he said. "There will be no tap-outs. I am grateful of the opportunity STRIKEFORCE is giving me and I am very confident of a victory.''

Zaromskis is one of the deadliest strikers in MMA and an opponent's worst "Whitemare.'' Until falling to STRIKEFORCE World Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz on Jan. 30, Zaromskis had won five in a row and nine of 10.

In July 2009, the talented, aggressive-minded 5-foot-9, 29-year-old captured the prestigious DREAM 12 Welterweight Grand Prix in Japan by literally booting the daylights out of his last two tournament foes, winning each fight by spectacular, evil head kick, both in the first round.

Zaromskis has consistently produced highlight-reel performances on the big stage since turning pro in February 2000. A member of London's Shootfighters fight team, he is looking to manufacture another one against the hard-nosed Santos.

"This is a very important fight for me,'' Zaromskis said. "I was disappointed in my performance in my last fight but I know I can do better and expect to do better against a very dangerous opponent.''

Santos, the husband of the No. 1 women's fighter in the world, STRIKEFORCE 145-pound champion Cris Cyborg, dropped a split decision to Joey Villasenor in his STRIKEFORCE debut on June 19, 2009. That fight was contested at 185 pounds.

The 5-foot-10, 32-year-old Cyborg, a member of the famed Chute Box Academy, rebounded in his last start to score a 1:41, first-round TKO (head kick and punches) over Daniel Zarate on Dec. 1, 2009.

"My last fight for STRIKEFORCE against Villasenor was a hard, close fight that could have gone either way,'' Cyborg said. "Zaromskis has a great, fantastic reputation and I know what he can do, but I am excited about this fight and putting together a winning streak.''

Tickets for the STRIKEFORCE event are on sale at the STAPLES Center box office, all Ticketmaster locations (800) 745-3000, Ticketmaster online (www.ticketmaster.com ) and STRIKEFORCE'S official website (www.strikeforce.com ). Tickets will also be sold at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE box office on days when events take place there.

In the main event on June 16, knockout artist "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler (17-5) will collide with former STRIKEFORCE Light Heavyweight (205 pounds) Champion Renato "Babalu" Sobral (35-8) at a catch weight of 195 pounds.

The first-ever STRIKEFORCE event scheduled for mid-week will take place in the midst of the E3 Expo, the premier trade show for computer and video games. During E3 Expo 2010 at the L.A. Convention Center, EA SPORTS(tm) will exhibit its highly anticipated title, EA SPORTS MMA, in which STRIKEFORCE is featured as a premier league.

Doors at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE will open for the event at 5:15 p.m. PT. The first non-televised preliminary bout will begin at 6 p.m. and the first main card fight will begin at 8 p.m.

The event will be televised live on SHOWTIME® at 11 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).

Surprise Appearance on this Week's WWE RAW

Mike "Virgil" Jones has reportedly been telling people he will be appearing on this Monday's edition of WWE RAW, says a report on F4WOnline.com.

Virgil, who is best known for his stint as Ted "Million Dollar Man" DiBiase's storyline bodyguard, performed with WWE (then WWF) until 1994. According to those familiar with his claims, he is apparently set to work an angle with Ted DiBiase, Jr. at the Toronto RAW Monday night.

Virgil largely lacks visibility with contemporary wrestling fans, although he did spark some curiosity when a now-infamous photo, featuring him sitting at a seemingly-empty wrestling convention under the banner "Virgil, Wrestling Superstar," reached the Internet.
